UX Improvement Program

Now, hundreds of millions of people use UC Browser, so it is impossible for us to contact most of our users in person to get their feedback. UX Improvement Program was created to give all UC Browser users the ability to contribute to the design and development of UC products.

UX Improvement Program collects information about how our users use UC Products and about some of the problems they encounter. UCWeb Inc. uses this information to improve the products and features customers use most often and to help solve problems. Participation in the program is voluntary, and the end results are software improvements to better meet the needs of our Users. To learn more, read the following frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does UX Improvement Program work?

When you choose to participate in the UX Improvement Program, your device automatically sends information to UCWeb Inc. about how you use UC Browser. Information from your device is combined with other feedback data to help UCWeb Inc. solve problems and to improve the products and features used most often.

Will UX Improvement Program collect information about all products on my device?

UX Improvement Program collects information about UC products only.

If I choose to participate, can I opt out later?

Yes. For any released product with an option to participate in UX Improvement Program, you can choose to start or stop participating at any time. UC Browser make UX Improvement Program options available in the Setting menu.

Can I review the information before it is sent to UCWeb Inc.?

Unfortunately the information can't be reviewed for a couple of reasons:

1.UX Improvement Program was designed to enable millions of users to participate. To support such a large number of customers sending data, the collected information is recorded so that the UCWeb Inc. servers can efficiently process all the data. The nature of this encoding makes it difficult for most User to review the information.

2.Rather than displaying a dialog prompting you to review the information when the application is trying to close, the data is sent automatically, without interrupting your work.

How does UCWeb Inc. protect my privacy if I choose to participate?

UX Improvement Program reports do not contain contact information, such as your name, address, or phone number. UX Improvement Program generates a Series Number (SN) that is stored on your device to uniquely identify it. The SN is a randomly generated number; it does not contain any personal information and is not used to identify you. UX Improvement Program uses the SN to distinguish how widespread the feedback we receive is and how to prioritize it. For example, the SN allows us to distinguish between one customer experiencing a problem one hundred times and other customers experiencing the same problem once. The GUID is stored on your device and sent with every UX Improvement Program report. UCWeb Inc. filters the information contained in UX Improvement Program reports to try to remove any individual identifiers that they might contain. To the extent that individual identifiers are received, UCWeb Inc. does not use them to identify you or contact you.
