Instructions for using FonePCExtract:

Installation:

Copy the directory named FonePCExtract listed in your ZIP archive
to your PC. You can copy it anywhere you want.

Execution:

Run the command line application FonePCExtract.exe listed in copied
directory and follow the displayed instructions (Use the -r command
line option to perform automatic noise reduction.).

General:

If you want to export all recorded phone calls made with FoneWatch,
you can do so so with this PC utility. FonePCExtract, runs on any
PC which uses the standard Windows OS (win2K, XP, Vista, etc.). You need
to have your Windows CE Device connected to your PC via ActiveSync.

Every recorded phone call will be extracted to the local directory in
which FonePCExtract is located. The name of the sub-directory is "Audio".
All extracted phone messages are sorted by phone number, date, and time and located
in appropriate sub-directories. All recordings consist of about 1 minute chunks and
are stored as standard WAVe (*.wav) files. These files can be played back with
Windows Media Player (for example).

If you want to apply noise reduction to the exported wave files, use the -r command
line option.

Important:

If you chose to save your recordings to a CF card, FonePCExtract will not function.
This is due to a Microsoft shortcoming! Microsoft did not add an RAPI API call for
enumerating CF cards on a mobile device.

You can still use this tool, but you will need to copy the database file that contains
your recordings manualy to your PC.

First, locate the file Fone_0.db on your storage card. It will be located in the
directory "\Program Files\FoneWatch\dba". Note, if you use a language other that English,
it will be stored in a directory corresponding to your chosen native language.

Once you've located the file, copy it to your PC via ActiveSync. You can use the standard
Windows Explorer. You will need to copy the file to the directory FonePCExtract as described
above.
