NGC 6101

NGC 6101 is a faint globular cluster, with stars no brighter than fourteenth magnitude. The cluster is found nearly 7° due north of Gamma Apodis.

It has an apparent magnitude of 9.3, and an apparent diameter of 10.7 arc minutes.

The cluster contains a significant "blue straggler" population. The cluster is similar in age to other clusters of similar abundance, such as M 92.
