Port Scanning lets you check what services are listening on a network and is useful for making sure no service ports are open that shouldn't be. Internet firewalls block most ports that may be accessible from the Internet but this Port Scan can connect to your wireless service behind the firewall and scan open ports inside your intranet. You can also do a port scan from a cellular network connection to test what ports are open from the Internet.

Port Scanning:
To start a port scan enter the host address or IP address of the device to Port Scan. Press the <Start Common Port Scan> button to begin a scan for the most common open ports. Press the <Start Full Port Scan> button to do a more through port scan. Use the <Abort> button to abort a scan at any time.

Configuring Port Scanning:
Press the Accessory button > to configure the number of common ports to scan, the full scan range and the scan timeout.

Scanning Results:
Open ports and descriptions are displayed when port scanning is complete. If the accessory button appears, a connection can be opened to the port. Press the Mail Icon in the upper left corner to send a email with the scanning results.
