Connecting using iTunes File Sharing
If you have iOS 3.2 or later you can use iTunes File Sharing to transfer documents via USB.
Note that iTunes only has access to the Public folder in Files Pro. To access documents from iTunes you must first move them to the Public folder. Conversely documents copied from iTunes to Files Pro will appear in the Public folder.
To use iTunes File Sharing:
- Connect your device to your computer via the USB cable.
- Start iTunes and then select the device from the sidebar.
- Select the device's "Apps" tab. This page lists the installed applications at the top and includes the File Sharing interface below.
- Scroll down to the File Sharing interface.
- Select "Files Pro" from the list of File Sharing applications on the left. The list of documents owned by Files Pro will be displayed on the right-hand panel.
- To upload documents click the "Add" button and choose items to upload, or drag and drop them onto the documents area.
- To save files, select which files/folders you want to save, then click the "Save As" button. You can also drag and drop files from the documents area onto the Finder or Windows Explorer.
Note: due to limitations in iTunes only files (not folders) can be uploaded using File Sharing. It is however possible to download folders, but not to browse within subfolders.
To upload and browse folders please connect to Files using a WebDAV client.
